San Pedro Springs Park is a San Antonio treasure. Located in Alta Vista, its rich history is well documented by the Friends of San Pedro Springs Park and many others. Hector Cardenas, President of the Friends of San Pedro Springs Park, has been instrumental in the restoration of park features and the addition of new ones. The FSPS website documents its history from 1691 to the present, as well as their efforts to save and improve the park. The Edwards Aquifer site is another great source of information.

The City of San Antonio is in the process of executing plans to restore and improve the park. The initial planning started in xxxx and continues today.
